If you are a women, then you have probably heard about both the detox cleanse and whitening cream treatments. While these two treatments are fairly different and somewhat unknown, they can be very beneficial for many different individuals. I am going to explain some of the basic details of both procedures, so you have a better idea of why you would ever consider either treatment.

First, detox cleanse treatments have been around for literally centuries of time. Even the ancient Greek and Egyptian’s practiced these treatments (although they did so in a fairly different manner). Now, these treatments are still popular, and for good reason. In such a cleanse, special detox products are used to restore the natural order back in your body. Toxins are purged, energy levels are restored, and the problems associated with stress and depression are treated. There are many different ways to perform such a detox cleansing treatment, and most treatments are considered to be harmless by doctors. However, make sure you discuss your plans with a dermatologist before starting anything brash.

Second, the whitening cream treatment is designed to help those who suffer from specific skin problems such as hyperpigmentation, melasma, chloasma, and soloar lentignes. All of these different problems have one thing in common – they create an unnatural darkening of the skin. Luckily, with special ingredients, certain creams can lighten the skin and reverse these problems to a certain extent. Such ingredients include hydroquinone, arbutin, meladerm, and triluma. These creams can be very effective at reducing dark spots on your skin and body, and should be considered if you suffer from these conditions.

If you’re tired, or aging prematurely, one of the side effects is the appearance of dark circles underneath your eyes. Unfortunately, this is one of the most unwanted facial features because it allows you to show your age and also generally lets people know when you are not getting enough sleep. Luckily, there are steps that you can take in order to remove these dark circles from underneath your eyes, and once you mix them into your daily routine, you will have stunning eyes again without worrying about dark circles anymore.

Improve Nutrition
Eating healthy is not only important for your overall nutrition but also for your eyes. If you eat plenty of vegetables and fruits, which are rich in beta carotene, then you will be promoting healthier eyes. Yes, carrots really do help your eyesight. Carrots, spinach, papaya and mango are all excellent fruits and vegetables for this purpose.

Rest
Sleep truly is one of the most classic treatments for when it comes to overcoming dark circles as well as puffiness around your eyes. Why? Because sleep really does work, and without getting a quality amount of sleep, your face is literally going to sag. When you sleep, your circulation is going to increase through your body including throughout your face and your eyes. You should be sleeping with your head elevated slightly so that fluids will not rest in the eye area of your face.

Cold for your Eyes
Cold temperatures are actually really good for your eyes as they help to reduce tiredness in the eyes and puffiness in the eyes. There are a number of different ways that you can apply something that is cold to your eyes such as cutting potato or cucumber slices and applying them to your eyelids for ten minutes or so for example. You can also apply cold spoons to your eyes or simply splashing your eyes with cold water. This will help you avoid under-eye wrinkles as well as dark circles around your eyes.

Milk
Applying milk to your eyes is actually another remedy for dark circles under the eyes. If you are wearing mascara, then you are probably causing dark circles under your eyes. Milk is a nice safe and natural cleanser for mascara under your eyes. Dip a clean white cotton ball into some milk and gingerly cleanse your eyes. Milk is all natural and will not hurt your eyes the way that chemical makeup removers can.

Rose Water
A great way to get eyes that sparkle while reducing dark circles under the eyes is to drop two drops of pure rose water into your eyes with an eye dropper. This is going to give your eyes a nice natural eye lift that will give your eyes spark and glow like the most attractive people around you.

About the Author Amy Nutt

As an organic skin care product can nourish the skin without resorting to the effects of chemicals, it is critical to apply organic eye cream to the most delicate area of the face. In order to beautify skin to the fullest, one must avoid aluminum deodorants, as it is harmful for the body.

I’ve heard for many years by reading as well as just chatting it up with girlfriends about beauty and skin care the importance of cleansing your face twice a day, once in the morning and before bed at night, to obtain and maintain healthy looking skin. Following this regime has definitely improved the look and texture of my skin. But what about the neck? After watching today’s video, I realize that I often neglect cleansing, toning and moisturizing my neck during my daily skin care routine. Like most of us, I jump in the shower and use body cleansing products instead. Your face is an extension of your neck so it needs to be treated differently than the rest of your body when cleansing to keep it healthy and looking young.

In this skin care video licensed medical aesthetician, Mary Elizabeth Thinnes, gives skin care tips on the importance of not only cleansing your face but your neck as well and how cleaning your skin more than twice a day can be harmful to your skin.

If you are one of the many men or women today suffering with an oily complexion, then I am sure that you have been frustrated by numerous over-the-counter products that don’t live up to their claims. The key to counteracting your oily skin and having a flawless and balance complexion is simply being educated so that you can read labels carefully to choose the products that will work best for you.

Cleanser:
Any skincare routine should begin with a high-quality cleanser, so I always personally recommending using a medical grade product that is suited for acneic or oily skin and contains glycolic or salicylic acid. These acids are able to break down the oil and grime that builds on your skin throughout the day and can potentially cause breakouts to your complexion. Use these medical grade cleansers twice a day, unless you experience excessive dryness.

Tone:
Using a toner or astringent is vital for oily skin types, but you don’t necessarily need to go overboard. One of the main errors that I see made by my skincare clients is that they will over-irritate and dry their oily skin in attempts to control oil production. Your main focus as an oily skin type should be to create balance in your skin so that you do not over dry or inflame your face. Look for an astringent that uses tea tree oil, which is perfect for acne, and you can apply this after cleansing to remove excess oil from your skin.

Moisturizer:
Many of my oily skin care clients constantly tell me that they are reluctant to use moisturizers because they are afraid of making their skin greasy and more prone to breakouts. What I have to tell you may be shocking, but it is incredibly necessary for all oily skin types to moisturize after every single cleansing to keep the skin in balance. If you do neglect to moisturize, then you can risk over drying your face and causing it to produce even more oil as a result, which will leave you in a worse position than when you started. Use a light moisturizer that is rich in antioxidants to give your skin a boost and to keep the moisture barrier intact without increasing oil production.

Mask:
This is a wonderful part of the skincare process for oily skin types because you can treat your face with a mask three times per week to cut back the oil production and purify your pores. Look for a mask that uses Kaolin clay, which works to tighten on your face and pull out the oil and impurities from the surface of your skin. You will immediately feel smoother and fresher as soon as you treat with a mask like this that is specialized for oily skin.

These are just simple guidelines to help you choose the appropriate skin care products that will bring your oily complexion into balance and keep breakouts at bay. Take the time to choose all-natural botanical products that will heal and nourish your skin when they are absorbed topically. Your goal should be to have a balanced complexion, and now you know how!

Symptoms of sensitive skin include a tingling or contracting sensation, reaction to cosmetics and reactions to such skin-stressing activities as shaving, waxing, laser treatments, chemical peels etc. Those with sensitive skin are also vulnerable to such conditions as allergies (in the form of rashes, swelling, itchiness etc), dry skin leading to eczema and Rosacea (a condition more women than men suffer from which results in the enlargement of facial blood vessels giving the individual a flushed appearance).

Having identified your skin type and all that it entails, it’s only practical that you move on to finding out ways in which you can, figuratively speaking, calm your skin. There are a number of things you can do to minimize facial aggravation. Here are a few dos and don’ts:

* Avoid using fragrant creams and other cosmetic products including perfumes as they tend to irritate sensitive skin.

* Use a mild, soap-free cleanser to ensure that your, already dry skin, does not lose any more oil than necessary. Make sure you rinse your face thoroughly after using cleansing products.

* Look for and purchase a moisturizer and sunscreen that have been specifically formulated for sensitive skin.

* Choose the right makeup products. Make sure that your foundation and blush, especially, are water-based as this will help prevent the clogging of pores. If your face tends to get oily, buy an oil-absorbing foundation.

* Refrain from washing your face too often and when you do so, make sure the water you use is neither too cold nor too hot.

* Stay away from exfoliants such as scrubs, peels etc.

* Take extra care of your skin when seasonal changes set in. The onset of winter might result in increased dryness and itchiness and you might want to use a moisturizer that helps you cope until your skin begins to produce extra oil to minimize water loss.

* When experiencing a breakout, make use of moisturizers and cleansers that contain salicylic acid which helps in the exfoliation of pores.

* Take the time to choose your body products with the same care that you show your face. Check the ingredients of shampoos, conditioners, body washes, soaps, bath oils etc., to ensure they aren’t harsh on your skin.

Other factors that impact sensitive skin:

* Stress: Ensuring a calm state of mind can have a beneficial effect on the skin which is known to react to stress. Anxiety and stress also destroy skin-protective antioxidants which work to prevent the speedy onset of wrinkles and other signs of age. Stress can also lead to hormonal changes that in turn result in unsightly breakouts.

* Diet: Last, but not the least, keep a careful watch on your diet, avoiding spicy and oily food, caffeine and alcohol (as far as possible).

Did you know that about 80,000 facial skin cells die every day? This is why your skin can take on a dull, lustreless appearance, accentuating lines and wrinkles on your face if you do not include exfoliation in your daily skin care regime.

Many women still use commercial soaps that are harsh on your skin and contain chemicals you’d rather not know. The combination of these chemicals and the harshness of these soaps can leave your face dry, robbed of moisture and having removed the protective Acid Mantel, vulnerable to microbes and other potentially harmful environmental factors.

Exfoliation is the first step in any good daily skin care regime. Exfoliation can take a number of forms, you can use a facial clay gel-wash, which removes dirt, stale natural oils as well as gently remove the dead skin cells from your face, leaving your face clean, free of stale oils and dirt, and unblock the pores of your skin.

Alternatively, you can use products such as the Skin Renewal Gel from Wildcrafted Herbal Products or a multitude of other natural products that will help to remove the layer of dead skin cells.

Exfoliation is intended to do nothing more than remove dead skin cells, however, you need to be aware of how ‘ruff’ they are. For example, there are chemical exfoliants which will not just attack the dead skin cells, but also harm living cells. This is not the aim of a quality exfoliant, on the contrary, exfoliation is supposed to help promote new growth of skin cells, not attack new cells.

Similarly, there are natural as well as non-natural exfoliants that have ingredients, which can cause minute cuts and be quite abrasive to your facial skin. Again this is not the type of product you would want to use.

Exfoliants should contain substances such as high quality clays, herbal extracts and essential oils that are gentle to your skin, but do remove the dead skin layer at the same time. Clay, for example, is made up of rounded particles and because of their shape, they will not irritate or cut your skin nor will they be abrasive to the skin. Essential oils, such as Chamomile are soothing, anti-septic and cleansing. Finally, a good exfoliant should be natural, gentle and contain ingredients that are cleansing and soothing to your skin.

Being a bride is very stressful for most. Everyone is looking at you, and you are suppose to look your best. You have the maid of honor in one ear, your mother in another, and if your groom-to-be has a say in it…he could be your third eye. (No, that was not a zit in the middle of your forehead). All of that ear noise is enough to boggle even the most put together bride.

So, how do you deal with all of the advice, comments, suggestions, well-meaning, useless, trivial words of little or no meaning? Shut your ears, girls. Listen to your head & your heart….that’s how you got to be here in the first place.

#1 Bridal Beauty Tip- IT IS YOUR DAY!…How do you want to look? If you want to look like a princess, then let’s do it. Remember, your mother got married over 20 something years ago, it’s not her day, or your husbands–it’s your day. Let’s make YOU Shine. Whether you opt for casual or a formal wedding…you have to look fabulous.

#2 Bridal Beauty Tip- HIRE PROFESSIONALS. I know that your mother was a hairdresser and your 2nd cousin is a makeup artist, and when you look like a throwback to the 60’s..oops, also, remember, this is not the place to save money. You need to look great girl…for more on this tip, please see the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. P.S. If you really need to save here, go for a makeup lesson…learn how to use the right tools (makeup & brushes).

#3. Bridal Beauty Tip – START EARLY. Make a VOW to WOW. Don’t WAIT until 6 weeks before the wedding to think about you. Just like you reserve the church early, you need to start early with your skin care, your beauty routine including skin care, wellness and fitness….yes, that booty has to look great from the face to the feet. It’s not just the outside…it’s the inside too…plenty of water…& maybe it’s time to take a yoga class to de-stress.

#4 Bridal Beauty Tip. BEAUTY MEANS FACE to FEET. Last time I checked you were a whole person, with hands, feet, face,…you know the whole package. You know so many brides it is just hair & makeup. Goodness, didn’t you look at your feet, no look at your heels…oh my. You don’t want to hear, the bride was beautiful, but you should have seen her cracked heels….not good. Hands, body, feet, face…hair, makeup, skin care… the works girl. You should also check out some of the new targeted body wraps for those thighs or tummy. You will look oh so perfect in that dress without having to wear the “ever so tight” body shaper.

#5 Bridal Beauty Tip. PERFECT IS AS PERFECT DOES. It is not a blissful feat to achieve perfection on your wedding day. Our human nature & every little girl’s dream is to have the perfect wedding, the perfect day, to look perfect and feel even better. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Something may go wrong. In fact, with all of the little details, it’s fairly likely something will go wrong. Don’t let on. Don’t blink an eye. Pretend like you are on the red carpet and wave to the crowd. Wow you look great!

Privacy Policy

CONSUMER PRIVACY

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT: INDIVIDUAL INTERNET CONSUMERS

A. Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Under no circumstances does This Site request or collect sensitive PII such as an Internet user’s medical/health conditions; racial or ethnic origin; political, religious or philosophical beliefs or affiliations; trade union membership or sex life.

B. Non-Personally Identifiable Information (Non-PII).
When a consumer responds to or views an Internet advertisement served by This Site (such as through third-party Web sites or email solicitation) or visits an advertiser’s web site, we send a cookie and/or gif file (”Cookies”) to assign an anonymous, unique identifier to the end user’s Internet browser.
We also may use Internet browsing and online purchase data associated with an anonymous identifier to develop a predictive statistical user profile of the end user’s needs and interests. This Site does not use Cookies or log files to collect end users’ names, physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, social security numbers, or any other information which can be used to identify a specific person.
Some of these other companies may use marketing technology that allows advertisers to add non-personally-identifying demographic information, such as age, gender, area code, or ZIP code, to the non-identifiable profile data. Thus, there is no direct connection between an end user’s online choices and his or her personal identity.

In some cases, This Site receives and records partial email addresses of Internet users, only in circumstances where the user voluntarily provided its identity and contact information through the Advertiser’s site or third-party marketer’s site.
III. CONSUMER CHOICE AND ACCESS

A. Opting Out.
Some Cookies have an “opt-out” option. This process does not remove This Site’s Cookie from your system; it simply replaces it with an opt-out Cookie that does not contain any unique identifiers. If this site provides such a process it is detailed below.

Some of This Site’s Cookies do not have an “opt-out” option, yet you still have the option of blocking the use of Cookies by changing a setting in your Internet browser. Please see your browser supplier’s Web site for details on how to do this.

Please note that under the CAN-SPAM Act, an advertiser is required to provide an opt-out mechanism for consumers to unsubscribe from future emails about the advertiser. Although not required to by law, many email marketers also include an opt-out mechanism to enable consumers to be removed from their mailing list. This has caused some confusion for consumers in opting out. The table below clarifies which opt-out mechanism you should use for commercial emails.
